The STARTING TEMP IS 5 deg for all of those questions

I must not understand the question. This seems pretty simple.

If it is five degrees, and rises ten, then it is fifteen. If it then falls two it is 13. If it then falls 10 then it is three, and if it rises 12 it is 15 again.

If as you say you always start at 5 degrees:
1) 15
2) 3
3) -5
4) -7.

5 +10= 15
15-2=13
13-10=3
3+12=15
