i would suggest the nintendo. although you are sacrificing the graphics, the DS is by far more affordable, both in the console price and for games. the PSP is merely a mini-ps2, whereas the DS is a console in its own right, nothing like the origonal nintendo hand-helds the gameboy or gameboy advanced.
as a bit of an addict, me and my boyfriend have both in our household......we have 2 PSP games, one of which was found on a bus. we have far more DS games, not only are they cheaper but they are better....the new mario bros game is addictive!

OF COURSE Sony PSP, because it has graphics in quality such PS2's and the games are 10 times better, than DS's, and in the aspect of gameplay and in the music. Ok I know that PSP's price is a bit high, but it's games have the same price with those of DS AND GameBoy Advance.

bah! forget DS get DS lite! well if you want a machine devoted to games DS is the best. PSP has more functions at the cost of looking big and chunky. that and being very breakable

but the DS isn't going to have guns and blood everywhere is it? it is kiddy, what do you expect from Nintendo. PSP though isn't making itself know very well and it's a other attempt to muscle in the hand held market

I have a psp and I bearly baught my first game just to make the purchase worth it. I had the psp for a whole year without a game. It really sucks, I am going to be honest with you. Yes it has all these functions, but who needs all that when the truth is you just want to play fun games on the go. The psp I think I am going to sell it and get a DS. I haev hotshots golf for the PSP and its alright. The games are really expensive too.

Depends what you want out of it. In my experience there are more twee games and can be more variety on the DS but the PSP can play movies and the graphics are better.

Both are worth buying just look at what you want from a handheld console and make a decision from that.

well, PSP absolutely for me, D.S. is just for KIDZZ.. and those people who likes D.S. are just being childish, or doesn't really know how to pick the right gadgets, well, PSP, have lots of things to offer, ang it has over 13 million triangulated pixels, better than D.S. of course, which almost have the resolution of a 65k Cellphone, (my cellphone Samsung D820 have much better graphics, than D.S.).. and before this year ends, sony is planning to release the Camera Plugin, which also gives you the option of Video Conferencing, thru wifi, and also GPS plugin, which is a big leap, from toys(D.S.)... and if your know some knowledge in programming, you could hack in some Stuff in your Psp, sort off like a PDA, and remember it has music player, internet, Movies on the Go, Great Games, Rss Feeds and its an eye catcher for the girls, it has the WoW factor in it, it works for me most of the time... Wooot. Hope this helps

I would say to go for the psp, because the D.S has more games than the psp,but the psp has less games but it has movies, better graphics, and really good games!I think you would be more happy if you get the psp.But thats my opinion.

If your decision is purely based on games, definitely go for the DS. The PSP obviously has much better multimedia capabilities, but if you have something like a PC at home, do you really need them?
I bought a DS and I don't regret it for one minute!

nicely, this relies upon. have you ever saved a extensive type of money? do you go with greater desirable beneficial factors? Going for great pictures? action video games? Get the PSP! do you like a greater much less high priced hand-held console? Do you in basic terms care with regards to the gaming, and no greater desirable beneficial factors? Do you like those comic strip video games (Mario, and so on.) (Sorry, i do no longer likely comprehend if Nintendo DS has those action video games...)? Then get the Nintendo DS. So, like I mentioned, it relatively relies upon on what you go with.
