I know the auto parts store, Napa sells a tank repair kit. Basically is like a clay, or putty, that hardens after you put it over the hole. Hope that helps.

First you need to determine what caused the hole and remove the cause. To repair you can buy a epoxy paste for this at just about any auto supply store. Be sure to follow the directions on the label and be careful not to contaminate the gas or cause a spark that would light-up your life. so be careful around gas.

A lot of answers has been said but I guess if you aint too sure about what to do why not go see an auto mechanics, thats his work, he's trained to mend such. So why try and fail and most probably create other problems in the process.

My answer's go see an auto-mechanic. Period.

JB weld works well.Hope your tanks not full when you take it down. Some tanks have drains but most of them I have to work on unfortunately dont.

JB Weld might work. If you're not familiar with it, it's a cold weld. You should check it out. You can fix d*mn near anything with it.

there is this stuff called JB weld that might fix it.The only thing you do is try it.
Wal-mart sells it in the auto section

IF YOU WANT A QUICK FIX. FIND A SCREW THAT IS BIGGER THAN THE HOLE, COAT IT WITH A PERMENT GASKET SEALER AND SCREW THE SCREW INTO THE HOLE. THEN COVER THE TOP OF THE SCREW WITH THE GASKET SEALER.
