I'd say the dodo was considerably more challenged than us.

Perhaps instead we should ask why we find it necessary to feel things are terrible when we have it easier than any animal ever - including previous generations of humans?

I would agree with you that human race is so inscrutability.
However, the nature selection makes us so unique that human race know how-to advance theirself by using tools and words besides produce/protect offspring as biological creature.

Our human brain is so complicated that make you able to think, learn, ask and study. Those abilities are intrinsical gifts of nature selection/(Evolution)

they say God never gives us more than we can carry....well...
we're the most challenged species because we're the only ones that can handle what's given to us,right?

Our challenges are what makes us people. Most of God's creatures follow instincts to make most of their decisions. How they feel emotionally doesn't really matter.

We get the opportunity to make decisions that affect us and others based on what we believe and how we feel about ourselves and others.

That is our greatest gift, and our heaviest burden. We know that we will be judged by our society based on how we handle those choices. People of faith also believe that God is judging us as well.
