Can somebody explain me the Public Relations career and the work I could have after it?

I kinda have an idea about i but I will love to know from somebody that is in it . Im still in college and I would go to Uni next year... Im really interested in this carreer... What should I focus on, what kind of jobs should I look for now so I can learn and grow? thanks!!
