Please be serious. I am 39 weeks and dialated to 2 cm. The doctor said he doubted I would make it to my next appt which is tomorrow. I was up all night last night because I just felt uncomfortable Now my stomach is cramping slightly like I need to have a bowel movement but when I go, I can't GO! The doc told me to try sex, but my husband insists that it'll hurt the baby. I am so frustrated and feel misreable. Any advice?

Just do your best to relax and know that you are going to be seeing that baby really soon. I know it is hard, but trust me, if you haven't had a baby yet, you will end up missing feeling it in your belly! Congratulations and good luck!

Sex won't hurt the baby. Trust me, I have two kids. And we had sex up to the last day.

The doctor said that sex can actually bring on the delivery. So go for it. Tell your husband that'll be all he gets for the next 6-8 weeks while you heal and I'm sure he'll be more than happy to help.

Your body is getting ready for labor.

If the cramping goes away when you sit down or lay down then it's not true labor.

Sex is a good thing to start labor (or so they say). Your b/f will not hurt the baby unless you have really rough sex

Go to the hospital and have them check to see if you have dilated anymore. If you have then they will probably admit you, and if you haven't then do a lot of walking it does help move things along. Try to relax, before you know it you will be holding your baby. Good luck and may God bless you with a healthy baby.

Sex will not hurt the baby. if anything, it can help you by inducing labor from wat i hear. i had sex til the day i was admitting to the hospital. try walking. squating also helps. Ur almost there. Try doing chores, and sleep as much as u can. cause when the baby comes, those are the things u miss doing.
enjoy the rest of ur pregnancy and good luck!

You sound like you are in prodomal labor (pre-labor) I think your doctor was right about your next appointment, just try to relax and start timing the cramping if it starts to come and go.. Best of luck to you and an early congratulations on the birth of your baby :)

I hate when Dr.s share their opinion! All he has done is stress you out. Labor might be coming already. Seee if hubby can give you a nice lower back massage, and walk around the house. See if maybe hubby will walk with you around the mall!

I think you should take the doctors advice and tell your husband not to worry because when my wife was pregnent we had sex when she was pregnent all the time and that didn't affect the baby, now the kid is beautiful and smart.
