When I moved to USA I was pretty surprised that American Christians are being circumcised. Is it because we have a lot of Muslim and Jewish doctors?

American Christians are circumcised NOT because of their religion, but strictly for reasons of health and hygiene.

Beneath the foreskin is a natural safe haven for all kinds of nasty little bugs. And since the body removes waste through that orifice as well as inserts new life into the female through that same opening, it really SHOULD be kept clean, doncha think?

No. US Christians practice circumcision for hygenic reasons, not for religious reasons. An uncircumcised penis is harder to keep clean.

circumcision is done for hygiene.

Every Muslim male does it because it is a must in their religion. they have it for the hygiene reason too.

as for people of other religion, those who are concerned and aware of the dangers, have it.
