In another countries that do not allow DWIs? For example if a DWI is forbidden in another country would a person with a DWI still be able to drive in Austratlia or the UK? Example Mel Gibson or what if someone killed someone in the USA in a DWI?

No I do not drink, so it is not my problem. I was just wondering. USA is too leinient. I was just wondering if someone was from another country and got a DWI here it would follow them back home or if a DWI would prevent someone from obtaining residency in a strict country. I know someone who has muliti DWIs here and he wants to move to Australia. He is a US citizen. I was not sure they would take him. He has spent time in jail now for it. I do not condone drunk drivers because I think it is a preventable problem. Just do not drive. People in Australia take cabs. I do not drink. It is easy. People here do it because they do not get punished hard enough. Then innocent people get hurt and killed.

Listen or should I write read. I am embarassed to even know people who drive intoxicated. My BF and I do not like this. If my BF drinks it is at home or I drive him. I do not drink at all for health reasons.

A DWI period is just unacceptable because it is preventable with cabs, sleeping over, calling firends, drinking at home or pre planning. There is one person I know of who has a van and he just sleeps it off in his van if he cannot stay put at a house.
