If you're looking to actually play "Yugioh Online" then you're outta luck, sorry. You always have to pay the monthly fee. If you'd simply like to play yugioh against other people online, then there is a solution. Type into any search bar "YVD". It should take you to a site that will let you download Yugioh Virtual Desktop, a program just like Yugioh Online but it's free! There's a chat room accessory that allows you to go in, chat, find a person ready to play and get started. That simple. Hope I could be helpful.
