I am pregnant with a baby boy-(Due September 18th 2006) The only problem is... My husband and I can't agree on any names!! We want something "Different"....but not "TOO different!!" Well he likes the name Gunner--(but I am not too sure of it.) So I need some honest opinions!!

I've met a few dogs with that name.
Legendary Redskins QB Sonny Jergenson has a son with that name, although it may be a nickname.
How about this.
You and your husband make a list of ten names you each like.
If you have a match you have your name, if you have more than one match you can have another debate.
Or this:
Go back to each of your family's genealogy history and find a great man or interesting name and honor your son with that name.

Honestly, I don't like it. But, it's your son - so do whatever you want. There are a ton of baby name books that have unique sounding names - check on amazon.com

First thing it makes me think of is the hair band, Nelson. Gunner is one of their names. And that's not a good thing.

Well I must say that is definitely different.
How about something like Hunter instead. I suggest this because when I said Gunner (Gun) in my head Hunter (Hunt) came to mind.

OK my lil cuz name is gunner it is a great name i think you shuld choose that name ut maby hunter would work but it is your guy's choice!!
P.s you dont' want to name yor kid a name that he is goin to have for the rest of his life and you not liking it that much!

I think it's GREAT!!! My Great Uncle was named Gunner and he was someone everyone always remembered.
