ok the xanga lock is so people have to log in to see ur site, which isn't what you want. you can't make your whole site private, but you can make posts private. just at the bottom of your post, before submit, check either public or private.

Log into Xanga.
Go to account info.
Click on 'Privacy' in the links on the left hand side.
On 'Xanga Lock,' click 'yes.'

The best solution... get myspace and set it to private
No one uses Xanga anymore.
