Congratulations you are expecting! a line, however faint, is still a line. :)

I would, and did, take another one just to make sure. Try to take it with your first morning urine when the pregnancy hormone is supposed to be at it's highest concentration.

I took a pregnancy test last year and one this year which both had very faint lines on them. The lines were so faint on the second that I had to ask my husband if he could see it too (it was neat, that was how I told him we were expecting). I retook both test and both turned up positive again.

Both tests turned into pregnancies. So, I'd say you're in the club, dear. Good luck!

I'm in the same boat. I've taken 3 home preg. tests and all turned positive immediately. But it won't seem real until i hear from my dr. My advice is to get a blood test, for your piece of mind. I've heard of the line being barely visible if you test too early and it turns out to be negative. But if you're already late, then it may be a true positive. Good luck to you.

There is always one line no matter what, so that one will always be darker then the second line.

They say no matter how faint the line is it's a definite positive and you are pregnant.

If you do not trust that one that you took then I would wait until tomorrow to take another one. Or if you can't wait take one later today.

go ahead and go to the doctor... having the suspicion for a month and being 5 days late on your period is probably enough to schedule an appointment, I'd say. Especially if you continue not having a period, as missing one can be an indicator of other problems if you're not pregnant.

if there is another line no matter the color of the line it means positive. If your not sure it never hurts to buy another cheapy test (they work just the same and it worked with my 2) Then call your ob and schedule an apointment. They usually won't see you till your about 8-10 weeks along if you know about how far along you are. GOOD LUCK!!!!!AND CONGRATS!!!!!!!

a line is a line!
as long as you saw it within the time indicated on the test. it's just light because you are very early in the pregnancy. a test in a couple days would be darker..
you can compare your test to other ladies tests at:

yea, if you have a second test, take it. If the line that runs vertically (up & down) is pretty prominent, even if it's faint, you ARE pregnant. hope this is something that you are ready for...

take Care and God Bless

Call your doctor and have him/her run a blood and urine sample. When I had an ovarian cyst, it totally screwed up my periods and was causing false positives on HPTs, the blood test was the clincher.

I would say that a line is a line but you could take another one to be sure just remeber that you will not have a false positive so if it says you are then CONGRATS!!!!!!!
