No its not wrong as long as BOTH people are truly and completely over the romantic feelings they had and it doesn't work unless you spend enough time apart after the initial breakup to be all the way over it. If you try to be friends right after you break up its almost guaranteed that somebody still has feelings, we see it here all the time. Most of the time though one of them is holding on to the 'friend' thing in an effort to hold on to at least part of the relationship and that means that when the other starts dating or gets involved in other things that person will be hurt. So, its not wrong but it can be complicated, personally I've never really seen the point. Its easier just to cut the ties and run. Also the new gf or bf often isn't comfortable with that. Depending, of course, on your age and the depth of the relationship that existed, if it was sexual there is always a touch of that just under the surface for at least one of them.

Hell yes, only if you are in another relationship. It also depends if your current girlfriend is comfortable with it or not. But I was told when exes are still in the picture there won't be a happy home. It's just not a good idea.

Well im friends with my ex although we are both married now to different people.I think it can be dangerous if there are still feelings left.It is important to ask the guestion to yourself Why are we friends?
