you can fight him in KH1. At Olympus Colosseum in the Platium Match. Yes I have beat him. You get a keyblade. And you get a level up(if you are level 80 down, after that you have to fight him 2 times).

No I haven't In kingdom hearts 2 though, you are able to fight him, and if you defeat him, you get a new keyblade, it's long doesn'r look nice but it is really strong !!
