Without confusing the situation further. How come Syria and Iran got away with a telling off.
After listening to the UN resolutoion I thought it was still very anti-Israel.
Anyone know why the Israelies are still being picked on by the press and the poloticians?

The Lebanese army and the UN will move into the south of the country before Isrel pull back. The situation for Hezbollah is getting dangerous and their sponsors are getting nervous as they certainly didn't expect such a full-on response. Both sides realise now that a heavy price will be paid by everyone if it continues.

A second resolution is supposed to tie up the loose ends. I wouldn't hold my breath as far as thinking that this "truce" will hold up in the long run.
Hezbollah has made its intentions VERY CLEAR and they're not gonna stop - ever. Personally, I think this will eventually end with Israel using very small nuclear devices to erase specific spots in southern Lebanon.
And, at that point, all bets will be off!
