Well a Mickey Mouse Cup...or Shield, is something that Liverpool FC should settle for this season.
Who knows? They might give Manchester United a real challenge in their Mickey Mouse (Carling) Cup, defense.

Of couse Liverpool deserved to win the Charity Shield, it could`nt have gone to a better team, best goal why John Arne Riise`s 9 minute goal was awesome, mind you Peter Crouch goal on 80 minutes was great as well, did you see how he beat jt.

i'm a Chelsea fan yet i do no longer think of they have any probabilities of wining. even with the fact that they've a competent squad however the Liverpool defence is powerful and can't certainly to get by using. final component is that Chelsea defence has been weakened by way of unsettled defence and the strike rigidity isn't good sufficient as they in maximum cases matter on Ballack, Lampard and Shevchenko.

Liverpool Deserved to win. They controlled the game since kick-off. John Arne Riise goal was superb. It was an enjoyable match. This shows that chelsea is a beatable team despite their star signings

Fair play to the POOL i am glad They beat Chelsea,(Chelsea have ruined football Looking from the lower teams like wigan,west ham ect do not have same spending power) Riise Goal was outstanding

A nice start to the season, but you cannot read too much into it.
The real stuff starts next week.
I was suprised at Murinho giving Liverpool credit instead of critisizing them.
