I've noticed since being married or in another relationship that some people get a kick out of trying to destroy that relationship. This is an undiagnosed problem with society or an issue that has been unaddressed. Even though this person has serious issues themselves he focuses on only yours as if he could find someone better for your partner; in all honesty that person couldn't and they are just not happy with their own lives.

Some people are miserable and don't want to see you happy.

I recenty went through something like this. I was wonderful until these band women found out I had a brain of my own & wasn't going to succumb to their standards. Going to gigs were unbearable; they would actully stand beside me, never saying a word to me, yet talk to my fiance. I am not one to force myself on anyone.

So, I still went and behaved as I always did, & held my ground. We're not with that band anymore. I'm happy with the guys we're with as they are marvelous.

And those other women...are still miserable.

People are selfish and don't care how they hurt others. When people try to destroy your marriage it's because of there own insecurities. But,they fail to realize that when you sow bad seeds, you will reap them.People who break up marriages are not happy with there life and feel the need to steal other people lives.Remember what goes around will come back around.

Your spouse needs to say something, not jokingly but really mean it.
If he doesn't, then you better look long and hard to who you are married too. And if you really want someone weak, not able to stand up to their friends.

I agree with you.But if your relationship is stable nobody will be able to destroy it in any manner. You both have to be mature adults.

I think you answered your own question by saying they are not happy with their own lives. Misery loves company.

OTHER PEOPLE ARE JEALOUS THAT YOU ARE HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL WITH SOMETHING. MESSING WITH WHAT YOU HAVE AS A WAY TO NOT FACE THEIR OWN ISSUES, AND IT GIVES THEM A FEELING OF POWER WHERE THEY OTHERWISE FEEL POWERLESS.
