Definately shop the art categories at eBay. I have been an artist for many years, selling work in galleries from New York City to Los Angeles for 4-figure prices -- but sometimes I sell them at eBay for $50 just for the fun of it. (Nothing available now.)

Target, Pier One, Walmart, Sears, any store in a mall like Macys, Burdines, Lord and Taylor etc. They all carry fairly inexpensive artwork.
