Ummm, John Ritter died. A while ago. With "news" outlets reporting more on celebrities than real news, how could you have missed this?
I don't know how they wrote him out of the show, or if he dies on the show too.

He passed Away While the Show Was In Mid Season So the Had to Write it to the Show I for got how he died in the show But That was why they stop doing the open credits
