Peyton Manning if those three are gone?

Clinton Portis is the way to go...Taking Manning at #4 will hurt you at the #17 and # 23 pick. The drop off from the the top 10 backs is alot more prominent then the drop off from the top 10 QBs. If you take Manning at 4, you might go into the season with RBs like Dunn, Droughns, Martin or the Jones. While these backs are serviceable, I wouldn't want them as my #1 each week. Look at the TDs for Qbs last year:
Manning-28, Hasselbeck-24, Brady-26, McNabb-16 (on a partial season), Palmer-32, Bledsoe-23, Delhomme-24, E. Manning-24, Brees-24 & Brunell-23. I think you can get a better value pick in the 2nd or 3rd for a Qb then you would for a RB. Tiki is a decent option, but I think they have a pretty tuff schedule this year. I have the 4th pick and I am going Portis...I look at the schedule during my playoffs, since I always assume I will make the playoffs and weeks 13, 14 and 15 are against lowly run defenses: Philly (21), New Orleans (27) and St. Louis (28)...I'll take Portis and his outrageous costumes!

I would still go with Portis. Usually depending on league you will start 2 or 3 RBs that means that each team will want to have 3 to 4 RBs do the math there will be back ups on the rosters of some teams. RBs are a premium. Portis is a very good value pick if you Take Manning you will be hurting for a RB with the 17th pick in the draft. At that time the top 8 to 10 backs will be off the board.

1. Peyton Manning!!! You don't have to follow the crowd and go for a solid RB if Manning is on the board.

2. Clinton Portis!!! But if you must take a RB then Portis will be the best available out of the top 3: LJ LT Alexander

I would still go Clinton Portis over Peyton Manning. Yes Peyton is a stud but you just don't want to draft a QB that high. So I would go either Tiki Barber or Clinton Portis, and i personally like Clinton Portis better because he will score more TD's. Good Luck

You can't go wrong with either Clinton Portis or Tiki Barber at pick no.4. Either one will have monster years, but Portis may give you more touchdowns while Barber may give you that double threat of running and receiving yards,so either way, these two are solid studs at 4.

Take a stud WR in the 2nd round and then a RB in the 3rd and WR in 4th and you should be good to go.

If you picked later in the round, I might jump on the Manning bandwagon, but there's still going to be too much talent at RB.

Clinton Portis or Edgerrin James will likely still be available for your pick. If you can pick up a Matt Hasselbeck or Tom Brady in the third round or so, you won't see a phenomenal dropoff from what you would have had from Manning. But you will see a large dropoff in RB production if you don't spend your first pick on one.

Yeah go with Peyton Manning, and make sure to pick up a RB on the next pass.

You might want to think about picking up Tiki Barber on the way back if he's still available. Or Portis, should have great year.

The first 3 picks will probably be LJ, LT and Manning so you have a problem. I would pick Stephen Alexander or if someone picks him, I'd take Manning. Good luck.

OH HELL NO! Don't even think of taking Manning yet. Get a solid RB like Portis first. Then take Tom Brady or Marc Bulger in the 3rd or 4th round.

If you pass on a RB the first round, your team will be hurting in every catagory....

Manning isnt worth a first round pick. In any format....

Manning will not have another 49TD season... and he defidently wont this year without Edge.

I would Take Portis or Barber with #4
