The human race actually ended with the death of Leo Tolstoy near the turn of the 19th century into the 20th century. More detailed information can be found in the history of Nazi Germany, Stalinist, Connecticut Blue Laws, Jim Crow legislation, the compensation packages of corporate CEO's in America, or the inability of high school students to communicate verbally in the only language they pretend to know.

I highly doubt it. The human race will not die off any time soon unless there is a massive extinction.

This could happen either by:
-A meteor hitting us, which we have come close to happening, but is not likely that one will hit us anytime soon
-Great natural disasters. Some of the past mass extinctions have occured due to this. Such as one where a series of volcanoes erupted and choked off most of the animals.
-Nuclear Holocaust. This one would have been likely during the Cold War, but I believe it is highly unlikely now. Of course, the world does have enough nukes to blow itself up eight times over.
