The brand that retained the crocodile logo was LACOSTE, a French apparel company based in Paris.
The IZOD brand with that goofy crocodile logo on it was split in 1995 and sold to Phillips-Van Heusen, becoming crocodile-free.

That would be either Lacoste or Izod. Lacoste is the more well-known due to the popularity of their line of polo shirts.
