Please don't take any offense, but I'm not clear on what exactly you mean, because you could possibly interpret the quote in a few ways, like:
1 - what matters most is how you see yourself?
Personally, this is very important, because ultimately you will be your own judge and it somewhat matters what others think, but when you close your eyes at night and go over what you've done in the day--it's all you.
2 - what matters most is what you see yourself? (how you see things)
Hardly important. People will do things for their own purposes and reasons. You'd just be wasting your time trying to figure out why when you can just focus on your own matters of consequence. And in the end, it will just be an assumption until you've put yourself in another's shoes.

"Dear esfayedv, I haven't thought about this much, but, your question brings it to mind. I guess the average person, like me, places importance of things, that I see each day, in priority. I end up, at the end of my day, remembering just a few of the most important things I faced. Your right, these few things seem to matter more than anything else ... I think, because they happen to me specifically and to everyone else generally, I always triage my selections for suffering through the day."

I don't know what your asking. But if your saying no matter how people see you it doesn't matter because your going to believe how you see yourself. Then yes. If you see yourself as fat then people can tell you all day your not .You are still going to see yourself as fat.I always thought I was not very good looking. But now 20 years later I look at my pictures and I see a very pretty girl. So you should try to believe what people tell you mostly your parents cause they love you.Mine use to tell me I could become a model.I use to think they were nutts.I wish now I took their advise. I might be rich. hahaha

I would imagine that that is true to each person, because if you see it yourself then you understand it your way, or it has to deal directly with you. I am not exactly sure what you are asking though. Could you clarify?

the best learned lessons in life are learned by experience. sure someone can tell you what they have experienced in lifes journey, but nothing brings it home like living it yourself!
