No, I don't think one should be a hairdresser if he or she has aspirations of being a doctor. I've taken a pay cut to do what I love, and gets me up every morning. Try it!

Well, if it it somehow connected to what you want to do, or you have some interest in the job, then you might actually be happy. But you might feel disappointed after a while because you didn't make your dreams come true.

Even if you can't make your ideal career become a reality for you, you should definatley get a career in something that interests you, and not something just to make money.

Yeah. For example, I really want to go into constitutional Law, but money just isn't there right now. So I am happy doing paralegal and government work until I can afford it. I will be happier when I am a lawyer, but I am happy now.

I doubt it. I'm very unhappy at my job, have tried and tried to be content with it, but can't. Shoot for the stars, be a doctor. But it will take many many years of college and medical school as well as an unimaginable amount of money to achieve it. Best wishes.

No way...that statement, first of all, is so ironic and contradictory.

Besides, you'd wish your whole life that you took the leap and went for what you actually wanted! I went ahead and did (school, job) what I wanted even though people told me it wasn't a good idea - and I'm happy.

U shouldn't go 4 what u don't like, remember that it will be 4 the rest of ur life. If u go 4 what u r not shure, then u will be miserable the rest of ur life.

No...I don't think you'd be happy doing something that you don't like. Life is short. Chase after your dreams...you don't want to be miserable for the rest of you life!!
