My mom replaced into clinically determined with maximum cancers in July 2005. It replaced into level 4 lung maximum cancers, the medical doctors instructed her that she could take chemo and radiation and that she may stay 3-6 mths. at the same time as she requested him how lengthy she had without treatment he stated 3-6 mths. She opted now to not take any treatment because it would not treatment her, would not postpone her existence, and could likely make her sicker contained in the destiny. She went on various journeys(one replaced right into a 22 state excursion with her suited chum), hung out with kinfolk and acquaintances, loved Thanksgiving and xmas. She were given to the point that she had too a lot problem respiratory on Sunday Jan. twenty 9th, she went on hospice and he or she died on Sunday Feb.19 peacefully at abode with the kinfolk accrued round her. Now i do not recognize what the continual condition is, or what the treatment is. no matter if it truly is something like dialysis at the same time as waiting for a kidney transplant then i could say proceed the treatment because there is desire for a transplant and yet another danger at existence. no matter if it truly is a terminal ailment and the fellow chooses as did my mom to no longer take remedies, then no that's not suicide. i'm a Christian, United Methodist, and that i believe that she made the right selection for her.

Well, as soon as we are born we begin to die. If you let yourself die of an illness that cannot be cured, I wouldn't consider it suicide. I'm sure you'll find many Christians with many different views on the subject, so I doubt if there is a God that this God would be able to agree with everyone and not be contradicting.

If the treatment is essential to living, it's a terminal illness that will kill this person. Medications only prolong this event. Why even take the medication to begin with if death is God's wish?

It depends on what the condition is and what the treatment involves.

Some treatment causes more pain than the condition.

I don't think it is called suicide, but it might be depression, and there is help for depression.

i think it depends.. i mean.. i know a few old ppl who need the pills to survive but they just became sick of takin them. they wanted the rest of their days to be free, not chained down taking loads of meds... they knew their time was limited so might as well live it freely without a care instead of having to remember meds or go to the doctors everyday. i dont think it is considered suicide

Euthanasia is used in Holland, but I think it would be abused in the USA.
