Couple of things may cause this, one is bad valve seals on your clinder head valve guides, they may be worn and letting too much oil past. Also the valve guides themselves may be worn and need knurled or have new guides put in, another cause is bad oil rings on the pistons though less likely since your engine is a 2003. This is why i bought a Chevrolet, my S10 is over 150000 and dont burn a drop yet! I hope you have a good result!

Often this happens because of bad valve seals - oil leaks through the valve guides and bad seals from the cylinder head.

If it is oil, you probably have loose rings or valve guides. Check to see that you havn't put too much oil in.
