Your own personal stuff that has little or nothing to do with the other person, such as your clothes, shoes, photos of your side of the family, etc. It's kind of a loose term - some things can be defined as joint or personal. When I divorced we worked out a separation agreement, and I went into great detail to put what I wanted in it, such as items given to us by my family, heirlooms from my side of the family, gifts he had purchased for me, and so on.
