Some people have a chemical imbalance that causes them to be paranoid and believe in conspiracy theories.

It is the job of the government to give the public a "sense" of security. The government cannot guarantee virtual security.

Governments often have covert activities that are predicated on maintaining stability and security. These actions become the conspiracy theories.

There are a lot of groups sponsoring violence, revolution, jihad, etc. The leaders of the group want power and control. The path to control is arduous. Politicians make deals, fall prey to corruption. This adds to the conspiracy theories.

If people focused on education, studying until their eyeballs are falling out, the pen is running out of ink, the saliva is runing out of the corners of their mouth as they slump over in exhaustion on their books or computer, they would not have much time left for anything else. Once all the sacrifices have been made, a person can find a job, work their fingers to the bone (while being underpaid), come home to have more work taking care of personal needs, and maybe a family. Then the person can appreciate any special moments of happiness with family and friends and not focus on conspiracy theories.

Having said that, I suggest everyone :

1. Develop a close relationship with the "higher power." Pray.
2. Develop a good relationship with friends and family
3. Eat vegetables
4. Exercise
5. Get a master's degree in any field - make whatever sacrifices you must to get that degree.
6. Work hard at your job.
7. Read
8. Read about current events from different sources. Read history.
9. Get a hobby doing something creative, composing music, painting, photography....
10. Learn to play Go, (also known as Weiqi in Chinese (Traditional Chinese: 圍棋; Simplified Chinese: 围棋), Igo in Japanese (Kanji: 囲碁), and Baduk in Korean (Hangul:바둑). Go is a strategic, zero sum, deterministic board game of perfect information originating in ancient China, before 200 BC.
It is more difficult that chess,--- really.

Conspiracies theories and the people behind them create this romantic (albeit unhinged) situation and play to one of the brain's greatest impulses: Fear. It is similar to explaining things that the human brain cannot comprehend. It simplifies the answer and allows people to think that they must be smarter than everything and everyone else in order to have figured out this impressive scenario and those other "plebes," we'll call them continue on with their lives. It is nice and neat and allows them to sleep at night.= instead of wandering in the unknown as most grounded people do.

Let me finish with one final thought. Conspiracies, by definition, are a vast network of people and organizations that are working together to undermine or cover-up some kind of public occurrence (9/11, etc.) and to explain it away in order to supplant the images and feelings and direct or deflect the blow back. The major problem with conspiracies is that the "Grand Scheme" involves so many people to refrain from uttering one peep to ANY outsider not part of the plan that it would implode on itself from the beginning. Tell 10 people you know a secret and see after 1 month how far that secret has made it. Now multiply this by 100,000 people. You tell me if conspiracies can really work.

I think it's being instigated by people who are 'upset' at uk/usa for invading their country. Not dictated by their religion, 'cos it's against that, but on the reasoning that their God has been offended. I don't think the goverments 'instigated' the bombings but surely must have known that such events would result as the consequence of their actions.
