We just chilled together, drank champagne and talked for hours before other great stuff, he then texted me the next day to say that he had a great evening and felt really comfortable in my company....what is your definition of comfortable, what does this mean coming from a guy?

Sitting together drinking champagne and talking for hours works for me! :-)

"Comfortable" for a guy usually means he didn't feel like he had to pretend to be somebody he wasn't, that he could be himself and enjoy your company. It's a good thing, especially if it's balanced with other "great stuff." (We've been married for a long time, so for us, we have learned that it's even nicer to enjoy the champagne AFTER the "great stuff." :-)

hes letting you know that he enjoyed being with you he most likely put it the way he did rather than saying something that might make you uncomfortable take things slow this could turn into alot more if that's what you both really want the take things one day at a time and see where it goes

all sounds in order to me, he told you he had a great evening, and said he felt comfortable in your company, what else do you want him to say, i dont know what you mean "before other great stuff" perhaps there is something there he is referring to comfortable, only you know that sweety.

EVERYTHING

Its all about communication & comfortability

If i was the bloke with you i would have been dying to touch you.
Talking for hours really is great, most blokes couldnt hold on that long. I could ; )

I would use it to say " I like you, want to spend more time with you but don't want to scare you off by saying "I love you""

Nice!
