If I do this every day for the next four years, will I start going deaf?

Yes you will. Given enough time and exposure at high decibels, anyone will start to lose their hearing.

You don't have to be old or "50" for it to start happening. As well, anyone (pets included) else in the house within earshot will be affected by this too.

Take care of your hearing and those you love's hearing.

Just turn it down.

Although you may not end up deaf, you may suffer gradual hearing loss! The heavy rockers of days gone by as well as the older people who worked in noisy factories for years either have significant hearing loss and/or are partially deaf. It is NOT funny NOR cool. Don't be foolish - turn down the volume or wear hearing protection!

* It is not, (and will not be in the future), pleasant to be hard of hearing. People can be very abrupt, rude and ignorant to those that are. (For whatever reason, it seems if one is totally deaf, it is more acceptable...)

Also, why are we so concerned about eyes and eyesight, yet don't focus on our ears and hearing?!

Nope but your ears will get dirtier. Because the more music you listen to the more wax your ears produce.
