My neighbor, who's old, constantly does this. It sounds like she's slamming the door like five or six times whenever she goes through the front door. The other day I looked down and she was hitting it from the inside before she finally opened it. I couldn't figure out what she was doing. Either she's senile or it's some custom. Can anybody tell me?

Although I have been going door-to-door for quite a while, I have to say I don't recall any strange experiences. There have been some rude, red-faced people here and there, but they don't really stay lodged in my memory. I simply hope they eventually change, for their own good as well as for those they come in contact with, shake the dust off my feet and move on. I do, however, remember quite a few sincere, humble, lovely people I have met in the ministry. Those are the experiences that stand out in my mind. Fortunately, most people are fairly normal and can communicate productively without resorting to the behavior some users above have commented on.

I am pretty sure this is not a custombut they do have other strange coustums like they stand to go to the bathroom and wipe thir butts with thier hand and wash there hand. This is why you can never shake ith your left hand that is grows to them. Guess it saves on toilit paper. Also they don;t like dogs because they are dirty and cats are conciderd clean. Do maybe it is a coustom but I have never heard of that one. Maybe her door just doesn't shut right.

I know several Persians familys and I have not seen anyone do that. it could be that she thinks bug or something will get in the house and she is frightening them off or some thing like that

This is so funny, does your neighbor really do that? Anyway no, there's no such tradition. Maybe she's into superstition.
