I want to day trip up there just to see it, and I heard conflicting reports.

Each and every day the Woodstock Site receives visitors from throughout the country. There are no signs... no admission charge... a side road off a small highway. Nothing special to see... just a small park for the Monument (a plaque) and a huge fenced tract of land that is being converted into a musical/arts center.

My husband and I went there to see it in the late 80's. Not much to see. Just a plaque. There's a general store just up the road that can sell you actual tickets to the real Woodstock, because most people got in without buying tickets and they had lots left over!

That was then. Not sure about now.
