I want to act, so does anyone know any FREE IRISH websites where I can find out about auditions? Plz help!!!

If you heaven't started already, before you audition, do a few shows of local community theatre (you don't get paid for this, but its really fun and you get lots of experience). In auditions you'll likely be up against others who have done some kind of acting already. Prepare yourself before you think about auditions. Get some monologues, read them out loud in front of the mirror, memorize a couple (age appropriate, no-on wants to hear a 13 year old moan about a dead husband, its not realistic). Do this whether your interested in T.V., Movies or Stage Theatre.
If you already have experience, and your pretty confident I suggest youl ook for agents not just auditions. They cost money, but they find auditions for you, and promote your talents to directors they already know (they have inside scoop about what auditions may be comming up)That is if you want to get paid to act professionally. Otherwise, just serach for community theatre groups in your area and find out about some fun, non-for-profit stage shows in your area.

Get parts in plays, read plays, especially shakespeare, watch classic films with classic performances (watch out for Laurence Olivier in Shakespeare roles, Betty Davis, Dustin Hoffman and you'll find out about others as you go along) and study what they do. In short, keep thinking and researching the subject. But the most important thing was my first point: Get parts in plays!!!

Try googling, and ask your family for help, let them in on what you want to do. I'm not saying online people can't help, but you should be careful not to share personal information with anyone who tries to help you, especially if they don't want to involve your family.
