I'm not sure if this is the answer you are looking for, but a poplular belief about a "bishop clothed in white" supposedly refers to the third part of the mystery of Fatima and is believed by some to refer to Pope John Paul II. According to the story, the Virgin Mary appeared to three children at Fatima and made three revelations or predictions about the future. The third had to do with a bishop clothed in white. The Vatican does not fully support this interpretation but does support the Fatima visit.

By tradition, Popes are the only bishops who wear white (except in Mass at certain times of the Church year).

With love in Christ.
