I am looking to buy a digital camera but I am not sure what a good one is.

4 pixels are fine, unless you want to make large prints, then go for the 5 pixel.
Nikon makes a good one.The L series 4 pixel you should be about to buy it for about $130.00 plus $25 for the sd memory card. good digital camera for the money.

The amount of megapixels a camera has can give you a clearer picture, but this seems to be disputed....

But, I would say anything between 4 MP and 8 MP should be good.

the higher the megapixel, the bigger and better quality the image. it really depends on what you are looking for. if your main purpse of buying a camera is having amazing quality images then get yourself a high megapixel camera. I recommend above 5 megapixels if you want really good resolution images. the highest megapixel camera phone is the newly released k790i and k800i by sony erricson.

well if u dont' want a too prices one i say get a 5 or 6 but i want to go all out well get something about a 7

i have a 6mp.. but any thing more is sweeeett..lol the 5 i had was good for a beginner :)
