The brain can perceive a straight line; but the brain has no control of the hand motion. It is theory, but it is thought if a man could truly have a bionic body, the srtaight line can be achieved. But, the man would actually be a half man/ half robot, using computerized body parts to achieve the straight line.

"Hey philia, I have news for you (like a few others have said). I can't "draw" one, but, I can "create" perfect straight lines.by the thousands!
Simply type an asterisk. Then, go a space and type another one. Example: * *. I haven't drawn a line, but, I've created a perfect line. The distance between the two asterisks is a perfectly, straight line. You can do this with a circle (Conservation of the circle) .... the diameter of a circle is ALWAYS a perfectly, straight line ... so is the radius! I realy don't believe any human can draw a straight line freehanded, but, anyone can create one!"

There are hundreds of little muscles that are involved in drawing a line while holding a pencil/pen/whatever. It is very difficult to keep them all under control. Spasms from those muscles, however slight, and the rythmic flow of blood thru the hand can make drawing a perfectly straight line very hard.

You can. All architects can, some engineers can, all artists must be able to. IF a surgeon cannot do it, I am not going under his knife...
