hi, perhaps you can try Norton or Mcafee to remove the virus, but you should pay for the software.
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
download firefox for free:

Best Wishes && Good Luck!

Free - is the key word (this is directed at the people who suggested Norton's and McCaffe).
AVG is outstanding as is Avast
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 (for AVG)
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html (for Avast)
Personally I use Avast - daily updates and in a test I put 18 virus (virii?) on a machine and ran four apps - Norton's and McCaffe found 12 and 13 of them, AVG and Avast found them all... and AVG and Avast are free to home users while the other two charge both for the software AND annual fees!
Why pay for something that doesn't do the whole job while there are freebies out there that are stable and DO the work?

ewido antivirus....you can get it from download.com Just try to run it through safe mode on your computer first....with the comp being on safe mode it means no one but you can access the computer.....to reboot in safe mode with networking just reboot your computer and when windows starts loading keep pushing F8 like crazy until another screen pops up and it says safe mode....just push the up arrow until you get to where it says safemode with networking...and then push enter....windows will load and the screen will look funny but its okay....
just make sure you download EWIDO ANTIVIRUS first from download.com It's great. Also if you need a malware remover or spyware remover download something called SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY.............good luck!

Kaspersky
and Kasperky's funny because if it catches a virus your computer lets off a blood curdling scream. (you have the option of turning the sound off...I just find it amusing, makes me jump every time)
