From your question I think your attitude shows you are very immature. Where I live a person can get a tattoo at the age of 18 with out a parent so if you are under that you should respect your mothers decision. If you are older than that you should be allowed to get it on your own but you should still listen to your mother and consider that she may know what she is talking about. What seems cool now may not seem so cool in 50 years. Can you imagine yourself as a grandma with a tattoo? I thought I wanted one when I was younger and now at the age of 33, I am so glad I never did. I pierced my belly button and I can always let that close - easier to do away with than a tattoo. Good luck - just think it through.

I Hope your MOM never allows you to have a tatoo...Tatooing is a fad and it is getting really popular, and I know you want to be cool, but sweetie think about this, girls who have tatoo,s look cheap, and I know these sweet girls don,t realize it ,but it does.......I was at the doctors office the other day and I saw an older lady with a tatoo on her sagging leg ,and she looked awful,it might have been cute when she was 13 or 14,but now she looks like a silly old lady, and everyone was staring at her.Oh and one day at Walmart I saw a lady that had a tatoo on to top of her breast at one time but as you age the breast sags somewhat and he blouse was low enough to see that the tatoo was almost hanging to her belly,I felt sorry for her,she was probably like you and was really wanting to be cool, but she did not look cool NOW.Remember the skin on all parts of your body even if you become a beautiful woman will sag as you age and it will show the world where the tatoo used to be and believe me its not pretty....Even in the Bible God tell us not to write on our bodies,he knew this was coming up so he knows you will be sorry...I have a son, whom I love very much,he has tatoo,s all over his body (not my choice) he rebelled, and he cannot hardly get a job because it has been to him a symbol of (trashy) and he regrets ever having even one,and don,t let anyone tell you that it can be removed cause it leaves a HORRIBLE SCAR.......your body is a beautiful temple ,keep it that way and you will really appreciate your body more as you age,and we all do.....If you are rebellous and do this anyway,I would suggest you do it small and on a part of your body that you can HIDE later.Honey listen to your Mom she knows what she is saying and she wants the best for you, sounds like you have a very GOOD MOM....good luck sweetie ...... slickcut

how old are you? You may not like it now, but someday you may want to thank her for making you wait. Just think about your tatoo when you get to be her age or older, that frog is going to become a gecko or the rose a long withered one. Do you really want to be just like everyone else? If you can't get her to see a tatoo, try peircing telling her that they can be removed and it will show responsiblity when you don't get an infection.

well if its a problem of responsibility, then maybe u should demonstrate that u are capable of getting a tattoo!! just pick out the trash, do ur chores, get a good grade on a test and show it to her!! then ask her for the tattoo, and see what she says!
