The largest of the border crossing city pairs are (east to west):

Rooseveltown, NY; Cornwall, ON
Niagara Falls NY; Niagara Falls ON
Buffalo NY; Fort Erie ON
Detroit MI; Windsor ON
Port Huron MI; Sarnia ON
Sault Ste. Marie MI; Sault Ste. Marie ON

All other border crossings, although they may be near some large cities (Vancouver, Montreal) are in small towns or the relative countryside.

At least one town in Vermont, as a point of interest--Derby Line, I believe--has the border run right through it. Most citizens of the town have some level of dual citizenship and some buildings and houses actually have the border running right through them. (My source for this is a man I knew from this town who told me all about it.)

almost every province thaT BORDERS A US STATE HAS A FEW BORDER CROSSINGS.....MOST OF THESE HAVE A SMALL TOWN...OR LARGER , ON THEM.....BLAINE WASHINGTON/WHITEROCK BC......NIAGRA FALLS.........COUTTS ALBERTA......HAINES ALASKA....THE MAPS ARE LOADED....TRY DETROIT MICH...GOOD LUCK
