Discrimination can be universal, it isn't just caused by skin colour. I wanted to call you racist for asking that question, but I was just recently talking to a guy who was born in Southern Italy and he said when he was talking to a Northern Italian and that guy found out he was from the South, that ended the conversation! Even though they are both Canadians now! I guess Italians, some of them anyway, can be pretty discriminating. It might have something to do with it being an old country, but then Canada and the States are new countries and we have lots of discrimination too. Where I live, we pretty well just have white people and natives, but people think it's fine to openly bash the French Canadians.

I know some Italians who wanted France to win.
The good thing is that, with the SCANDAL in Italy, some good Italian players had to leave their affected club to play in other countries.
It's hard to tell who is racist, maybe it was just coach Lippi who didn't pick any foreign born players and not the Italians at large.

I'm 100% Italian, my skin is probably whiter than yours or Lady_Starlight's, and I'm definetly not a racist. I'm the living proof that your question doesn't even make sense.
That said, there are *some* racists in Italy. Just like everywhere else in the world.

there are racists everywhere so for you to assume that its mainly italians that are racists, you are very incorrect.
ive seen more racists while ive lived in the united states than i have anywhere else around the world.
