IGNORE ANYONE WHO SAYS YOU WILL GET MALWARE FROM IT OR ANYONE WHO SAYS IT IS ILLEGAL, THEY ARE WRONG.

Now that I'm done with the big warning sign, I will explain. LimeWire is a peer to peer (P2P) fill sharing program, meaning it allows you to share a folder on your computer with other users of the Gnutella network. So BASICALLY this means you can download music, sound clips, videos clips, movies, programs, text files, and image files. This can become illegal if you download and SHARE any copyrighted songs (which let's face it, a lot of people do) but luckily for the downloaders and unluckily for the record companies, the chances of getting caught are EXTREMELY slim (if you download, lets say 200 gigs of music, you may start to put yourself in the line of fire though). It is also only possible to get malware (viruses, spyware etc.) form LimeWire if you are stupid. It is obvious which files are malware in the search results because they have rediculous file sizes (for example 0KB or 851KB for a full song, which is far too small). As long as you avoid file sizes that are not appropriate (too big or small) or ones that appear on a lot of the results, each with a different name, or the sizes 0KB, 851KB, 127KB and a couple around the 70 to 90 KB range then you will be PERFECTLY SAFE.

So to summarize, LimeWire is a program that is NOT ILLEGAL ITSELF and SAFE TO USE IF YOU ARE NOT STUPID which allows you to download music, movies, programs and about anything else you can think of, and it allows you to share files (only if YOU wish it to, it will not spew out the contents of your "my documents" folder on the web, only the LimeWire folder's contents are shared). Sure sharing (not downloading, as far as I know) copyrighted music is illegal, but you don't HAVE to use LimeWire illegally, there are legal uses as well (but if you do decide to go against the law, you aren't going to get caught anyway).

Limewire is a computer program that lets you download songs. The government says that it is illegal, because you dont have to pay for any of it.

It is a free software released under the GNU General Public License. Limewire was the first file sharing program to support firewall-to-firewall file transfers, a feature introduced in version 4.2, which was released in November 2004.

LimeWire is written in Java and therefore runs on any computer with a Java Virtual Machine installed. To facilitate installation for casual users, installation packages are available for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and in the RPM format for Linux. Support for Mac OS 9 and previous versions has been dropped with LimeWire 4.0.10. The Windows version of the LimeWire installer includes a version of Sun Microsystems' Java installer which will download and install version 1.5 of the Java Runtime Environment if it detects the machine does not have a recent version of Java installed.

According to a June 28, 2005, report in The New York Times, Lime Wire LLC may stop distributing LimeWire due to the outcome of MGM v. Grokster. However, new versions are being released (4.10 released on March 18, 2006) with various new features. On September 25, 2005, it was reported that Lime Wire LLC was working on a version of the program which will refuse to share files that lack valid license information.[4]

On June 21, 2006, Limewire 4.12.3 was released. Version 4.12.3 includes a new option to filter out material that copyright owners have denied access to. In practice, many of the so-called "legal" downloads on LimeWire have a spoofed license. That is, filesharers have marked that the file is uncopyrighted and legal to download, even if it is not.

July 26, 2006 brought Limewire 4.12.4 which the official website dubs as having "an updated interface, firewall to firewall transfers and increased performance for finding rare files and downloading speed."

Its a file sharing programme. It contains loads of music, videos and a lot of nasty stuff aswell. Everything you download is from someone elses files, you will be warned of the dangers of this before your final commitment to download. As long as you run a virus check on everything its o.k. Also you don't have to make your own files shareable if you don't want to, so nobody can see your private pics, messages etc. Limewire is free, but Limewire Pro isn't. There's a lot of hard porn on there, and also a lot of ilegal stuff from South America involving kids, animals etc, so be very wary of what you are looking at. Its great for free music, films etc but i'd stick to just those if i were you. If you download it and have any problems just go to Control Panel, Add & Remove Programmes & get rid of it. If a corrupt file makes it through you can always use System Restore aswell. Hope i'm been imformative enough for you.

Binary options let users trade in currency pairs and stocks for various predetermined time-periods, minimal of which is 30 seconds. Executing trades is straightforward. The system uses user-friendly interfaces, which even an 8 years old kid, can operate without having to read any instructions. But winning trades is Not easy.
Binary trading is advertised as the only genuine system that lets users earn preposterous amounts of money in ridiculously short period of time. Advertisers try to implicate as if you can make $350 every 60 seconds; if it was true then binary trading would truly be an astonishing business.
However, does it make any sense? Can every trader make tons of money in binary trading? Who is actually paying all the money or the profit to traders?
The first challenge is finding a trustworthy binary broker; secondly, you need to find a binary trading strategy, which you can use to make profits consistently. Without an effective trading strategy, there is no way you can make money in this business.
Learning a profitable trading strategy is possible, You should watch this presentation video https://tr.im/16635
It's probably the best way to learn how to win with binary option

It is a peer to peer file sharing program - which means you e prodownload files from other people just like you who are sharing the files on their computer. The program itself is not illegal and it is not illegal to have. But the problem occurs when people share files that are copyrighted, like songs and videos, and others download this copyrighted material. This is illegal.

But if you use the program for material that is not copyrighted (which I highly doubt anyone does use Limewire solely for this purpose) then it is not illegal at all.

Limewire is a peer-to-peer file transfer service.

You install the program and log on, and do a search. Limewire tracks all of the files that are listed as available for download on active users' computers. Your search turns up results, and you download a particular file from a particular user.

Limewire is a peer to peer shared files program. When you connect to Limewire, limewire provides the shared P2P program that allows people to share their files. When you place your files in the shared Limewire folder, then it is considered a shared file. When people type in a keyword, limewire has the ability to go through everyones shared folder to pull up these files with the target keyword and then makes it available for download.

When you are downloading files from limewire, then you are actually getting the file from other people's shared folder...such as programs, music, movies, etc.

Limewire is a peer to peer program. Meaning that files are shared throughout a network of computers. Although the program is not illegal, downloading copyrighted material (songs, movies, etc.) is illegal. I would recommend not downloading it if you plan on doing so. It may cost you.

Don't know how legal or illegal Limewire is but it's a file sharing program like Kazaa or Grokster (I think that's the name of it). If you're just trading personal pictures & stuff like that I wouldn't think it would be illegal however if you're sharing/trading things like songs, etc. then you're talking illegal activity. It's also bad for tracking & spam but especially for passing viruses & really bad things to other computer users. My suggestion would be stay away.
