I have wondered the same thing. I have even tried to contact Yahoo to try to get them to regulate this site and to set up some age requirements to even access it. I have had no luck in this. I used to consider yahoo a family friendly site up until now. I think you should be at least 16 if not older to view some things on here. There are allot of bad people out there who go to sites like this just to get at young children. Yahoo needs to do something about this. It is not right for young children to come on here asking and viewing certain things. I saw one not to long ago about a 12 year old boy asking if it was OK to have fantasies about OLDER MEN. It is very sad to see things like this. If you have any ideas about how to stop this. I'm in.

Anywhere you go you will see creepy people.
The internet is just like meeting someone at a bar so get over it!
You'll never be safe so I dont see the big fuss over this topic.
Bad things?why is a sexual experience bad?I rather a child know than be naive to the topic or subject.People are so scared to tell us kids the truth but in the long run its a good thing.
As for the advertising I dont agree with it but some people do look towards the internet for friends and relationships.
She cant help it some perve wants to talk to her.

Children spend way too much time on the internet without a parent's supervision. We need to take a look at our own parenting abilities before we judge what our kids are doing.
They can be on here asking for a boyfriend or a girlfriend, then when they get bored with that, just a few clicks away and they can be looking up sexual positions and porn.
(I just read a post by a 12 year old girl who said she was addicted to porn and sex)
What do we do about it? We can't keep our kids from the world. We can't shelter them. We need to talk to them, tell them our expectations. We need to inform our children with the truth and install good morals in them. The biggest thing we can do is accept the fact that they are going to be getting false knowledge everyday, and we need to work with that.
Kids think that they can't be popular unless they have a boyfriend / girlfriend. They are told by their friends that it's okay to have sex at an early age. They become curious about sex and instead of feeling free to talk to their parents about their feelings, they are gathering information from porn sites!

I totally agree with you. It's almost like they want to get molested, ok....sounds harsh, but c'mon, I didn't even know how to work a computer when I was 11! What ever happened to climbing trees and playing tag?! I miss those days so much, and here they are taking advantage of them and spending time trying to grow up and get a boyfriend/girlfriend when they are just kids!!!! It's disturbing yes, where are their parents???

I KNOW! These kids are like YOUNG and they already want to be romantically involved! Its disgusting. I am still a kid, but I know I will never have a boyfriend (that is by choice, I just don't want to). In my culture we have arranged marriages, so I guess I'll sort of have a boyfriend before I get engaged.

It troubles me. This is not where young kids should be looking for "friends". That's what school and community and church and youth organizations are for....where children are naturally. Anyone looking for "friends" on line is looking for love in all the wrong places.

i agree, but i guess the kids are getting their hormones in earlier and earlier these days. I started my periods when i was 12 (on my birthday actually!), so technically my body was ready to have children and i was one great big raging ball of hormones!

Because they want to feel loved by someone other than family members.
