He wouldn't receive quite as much attention, because there are a lot of powerful Jewish people in the entertainment industry, and that is often what the media refer to when reporting on Mel's little tantrum. I don't doubt he's anti-Semitic, as he and his father are passionate members of the extreme religious sect THE CATHOLIC TRADITIONALIST MOVEMENT. Do a Google and you can find out lots of juicy info.
Just off the top of my head as an example, Mel's father said on a radio interview a couple of years ago that he believed that the Holocaust was exaggerated, and that most of the details are fiction. Interesting.
P.S.
I tried to watch the passionate of the Christ, but there's only so much blood and gore one can handle. And I'm a horror buff.

of course not! The police officer might have nodded in approval and given Gibson a ride after buying him a drink for such courage and wisdom. The following day the police chief once informed of Gibson's courage may have invited Gibson to stop by the police headquarters to praise him. The news would pick up his visit to the police and note how this man of principle and celebrity supports the police force. Fans would have more good to talk about him. Then Gibson would joke with his friends how this all started, and they would all laugh, "wow, what a great story, Mel."
this is the most extreme scenario. The least extreme would be to quietly and respectfully shush him and give him a ride home.

I'm sorry Mel Gibson should not have said those things but all he did is use his right as an American to speak freely. I mean i am sure everyone at sometime in their lives has said something that offended someone. The only difference was it was.t as publicized

Mel Gibson has done what 98% of people have done at one time or another in their life, get drunk, say stupid things. He is held to a higher standard because of his noteriety. Personally, I can understand his pent up rage and frustration, it just came out while he had a buzz on. He made a historically accurte film and was pounced on by Jews, because of insecurity issues on there part. He shouldnt have said what he did(if he really did say it as harshly as claimed) but I can somewhat understand it, we are not all perfect.

Wow, where did you come up with a question like that? I think Mel Gibson is a respectable man and actor and wouldn't say something like that anyway

Whilst it would be naive to think that a country of commerce and culture did not have a powerful voice. It would is quite stupid to suggest that they rule Amercia. Its no worse than saying that Arabs and people of the same beliefs are parasitic nations who,s failing are blamed on the world.

Anything a celebrity says gets publicity. Even if he said that he likes Baloni sandwich, you'd be reading that in the next days newspaper. But something this offensive would be blown out of proportion. No doubt.

That would depend on who heard him.
Clebrities are Human, they aren't role models.(although Personally I think Mel is a Kook.)
Unfortunately, Bad Press and controversy sells papers and TV advertising.

Probably not. It shouldn't be getting it in the first place. I mean seriously, is it the first time a drunk guy has said something stupid? No. Will it be the last? No. Should we be making this huge deal about it? No.

No, because Jews control America, and America is at war with Arabs.
