No but after church on Sundays my family gets rest. Saturday is often a day of busy errands that cant take place during the busy work week.

Plus a lot of places close in honor of God. Look at Chick Fila who is one the only fast food places closed on Sundays.

Personally i do think that Sunday is a day of rest, but as for were business is concerned if we are honest with business's like shops, pubs, clubs and fast food places etc were closed on Sunday we have to admit that there would be a lot of lost people out there wouldn't there. xx

No. Students and others need to work to earn a living. You can rest if you want but why force your lifestyle upon others? There is nothing special about Sundays. It is just another day. Personally, I volunteer on Sundays and you should consider it as well if you have a lot of free time. A good site is:

Sunday should be a day where Families actually make an effort with each other. Businesses don't need to shut all day, most close around 5ish anyway.

What makes me sick is people going shopping on Boxing Day....

sunday is a day of rest but rest comes to everyone in different ways,,,,,it would be great if all work places closed that day and some of the smaller ones in town here do.but see,,for those who don't work on sundays ,their way of rest might be time with the family out shopping,,,,,,,,where would they go then?

Our bodies need to take time to just veg. Having a day of rest is actually more productive for business, but I doubt it would ever happen, too many people are concerned with the bottom line.

No.
While some may consider a day holy, others do not.
the option as to whether or not to close a business should be left to business owners(and any contracts they sign with places like Malls and such which rely on regular business hours to be an attractant to shoppers.)

For me, I rest. The rest of the world can do whatever the heck it wants. I LOVE a Sunday nap.

business should not HAVE to be closed, we don't have religious laws in america. But if an owner of a business is religious and wants to have a day of rest/worship, they have that right.
