why does h3=2?
From the domain definition of the function...
You have there h(x)={(3,2)....)}
the pair (3,2) means h(3)=2...

Well, I get the same answer as the others, but I do it a bit differently. To find f(h(3)):

h(3) = 2
f(h(3)) = f(2) = 4

There's just one little extra step in here ... f(h(3)) = f(2) ...

h(3)=2. So now you have f(2), which equals 4.
