She might not be over the effects of it being over yet, and it may take some time. After my divorce, even though I was very gald to be out of it, and could not wait to get rid of his name, my drivers license was about to expire in a few months, and I did not want to have to spend the extra money to get it changed and then in a few months down the road have to spend more money to get it renewed. I would give her a few months, and then if she still uses it, talk to her and tell her that it is not her name any more, and to not use it.

If the divorce decree requires her to return to her maiden name, call your lawyer and find out the time frame for the change.

You married her for better or for worse and right now you are in the worse part. When you married her you GAVE her your name. I realize that it is resolved in the divorce decree but what do the laws of your state say about legal names?

I am divorced too but I still use my ex husbands last name. I will always be my daddy's child but my handwriting looks better with my married name. What do you care what name she uses? Get on with your life and leave her alone. Sounds like you still want her. What do you mean using yours. Mind your ******* business, and stop keeping tabs on her.

Seek legal help. She is not fulfilling one of the stipulations of the divorce. But, why is it such a big deal? You know you are divorced, and so does she. If it is worth legal fees, then hire an attorney.

you have no say so. unless she wants to use her maiden name and you have to do it through the courts. you married her and she was good enough then. just cause you arent together dont change the fact that you were married at one time.
