Do you think that your 18 year old friend would be willing to listen to and hug you? If so then GO FOR IT!!! Friends are supposed to do that stuff for you. How about your dad or grandparents as well. Sometimes talking to people who knew her can help out even more then talking to someone who didn't know her at all.
Maybe your mom is coming to you and that's why you are reminded so much of her. Have you tried talking to her? Do it in your own way be it by closing your eyes and just thinking the conversation or talking aloud to her. Light a candle in her memory on her birthday and the anniversary of her death.

YOU SHOULD ALWAYS TRY TO TALK TO SOMEBODY THAT YOU CAN REALLY TRUST. THE REASON THAT YOUR PROBABLY SUFFERING MORE NOW IS BECAUSE IT PROBABLY SEEMS LIKE YOU NEED UR MOM MORE THAN YOU DID BEFORE. IT SOMETIMES TAKES A LONG TIME TO GET OVER THE DEATH OF SOMEBODY SO CLOSE TO YOU .I HAVE ALSO LOST SOMEBODY SO CLOSE TO ME WHEN I WAS 9 YEARS OLD AND I STILL THINK OF HER TILL THIS DAY AND IM ONLY 17 . NO MATTER WHAT YOUR MEMORIES OF UR MOM WILL ALWAYS COME BACK BUT TRY TO THINK OF IT THIS WAY. SHES IN A BETTER PLACE AND ALWAYS WATCHING YOU . BUT ALWAYS COSIDER TO TALK TO UR 18 YEAR OLD FRIEND SO SHE CAN ALSO HELP YOU OUT TOO. THATS THE GOOD THING ABOUT HAVING OLDER FRIENDS.

A loss so dramatic like this is not gonna go away with time. This was someone who gave birth to you. She will always be in your heart. Don't be afraid to talk to your friend. She isnt going to think of you as buggin her but as some one who you can confide in. Alot of people keep there emotions inside and that doesnt ever really seem to work. Make sure you express your feelings when you get these emotions whether it be on paper or in person. Time heals but it doesnt mean your not gonna have emotions.

You need to talk to someone you trust and with someone who also lost your Mom. Maybe your Dad, Aunt, Uncle or Grandparent. They have dealt with the same loss you have and by talking about your feelings, you can start to sort out some of your grief. Sorry for your loss.

My dad died when i was 8, (I'm 14 now) I hated him cause he beat me but my sisters went through the same. One had to see a therapist to cope. I suggest going to see a doctor to see if you're depressed to start off, they might refer you to a therapist. You might also like to join a spiritualist church (My sister did) and sometimes my dad comes through (apparently - im very cynical) and just hope for the best.
Good luck honey and Im sorry to hear about your loss.

just realize that at the age you are now you and your mom would've been closer, talking about more mature issues in life. subcontiously you know this. you miss her for the friend she was/is.

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo It states in the Holy Bible that "We are to love God with our whole heart our whole mind and our whole..." If we do that many of the existances of hurting disappear! Pray for your Mother and release her and hand her over to God! Pray in Jesus's name that he takes care of you and lead your path! GOD'S LOVE IS THE BEST LOVE EVER WILL BE... God is Love! LOVE, the Golden Truth Teller...Godspeed!

you should see a therapist, though. they can help you deal with your trauma, and maybe recommend anti-depressants if you need them. whatever you do, at least talk to your friend.
you're probably not dealing well because you don't talk about her. either way, it's a natural thing.
