Well, I use VET. Its great. It got rid of SpyFalcon off my computer (For those that do not know Spyfalcon is a hijacker that destroys your computer piece by piece, disguising itself as an anti-virus.) But if free is what you want then definently AVG plus Ad-Aware to get rid of those annoying pop-ups and spyware

PS. DO NOT USE TREND MICRO-PCILLIN. It is Horrible.

Try another spyware software:
This is what I do to protect my computer:
> Scan your computer for spyware/adware using a FREE software from Microsoft called Windows Defender: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx

> You can download a FREE antivirus software:
http://www.grisoft.com/doc/Programs/lng/us/tpl/tpl01

> You can buy Webroot Spy Sweeper here, it's very nice, safe and very up-to-date:
http://www.webroot.com/land/freescan-3000.php?rc=4929&ac=5190853

> MSN Toolbar, includes Pop-up blocker, Phishing filter - FREE:
http://toolbar.live.com/?mkt=en-us

> Use Windows Update to make sure you have the latest security updates: http://www.windowsupdate.com

> You can download the latest version of Internet Explorer, it's the new version, fast, clean and secure:

Try AVG free edition. No virus software is perfect, but I have used it for years and love it. It is not a system hog, and does what it is supposed to do.

Try AVG free version or Avast...they are both quite good. U can also try the trial version of McAfee, that lasts for I think, 90 days.

Try ClamWin, it's free, updated daily, and it was recommended by a security engineer at my company.
