Talk to a real geologist. "Pole Shifts" are a myth. the earth's magnetic orientation DOES change every 10,000 to 12,000 years but that is not going to cause problems for us other than our magnetic compasses will just have to be re-painted so teh red points north again!

Get a basic credible book on geology and stop reading tabloids and stay away from woo-woo sites.

No so fast gang--the fossil record indicates that the magnetic field breaks down before the poles flip and return. That magnetic field protects us from many harmful cosmic rays. The safer areas would, therefore, be close to the poles in order to get as much shielding from the atmosphere as possible.

The earth's poles have changed position many
times in the past without its seeming to have had
any significant effect on life. Nothing moves in
the sense of geography, the magnetic field just
reverses its direction.

everywhere on the planet.....the shifting of the poles is an electromagnetic phenomenon, not geological/tectonic.....there would be no physical "movement"

indeed, even if the earth were to "tilt" further over from perpendicular to its orbit, we would never know except for the changing length and intensity of the seasons

anywhere you are, the tenuous correlation beteen single cell organisms population reductions & polar filps just don't cut it, you aren't a single-cell critter are you?
