No... If you know Jesus as your savior you will be welcomed with open arms! I like to think that my grandparents and my brother (who are already there) and anyone else who gets there before I do, will be there to greet me with big smiles on their faces.

No... there are no doors to knock on in Heaven.

The phrase knocking on Heaven's door is more or less referring to the fact that some people are on the verge of death.

Knock all you want, you won't get in. If you are a Christian and believe in Heaven then, by definition, you believe the Bible. In the last book of the Bible, The revelations of St John, it tells you quite clearly that the only people who are allowed into Heaven are 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel, 144,000 in total. Outside Heaven is a mighty throng of people from all races and times praising God. You may end up being one of those, unless, of course, you belong to the 12 tribes. Mind you, they're all from the Old Testament times since Jews in New Testament times rejected Jesus and see him only as a prophet, not The Messiah.

i always imagined that when i got there, i would be welcomed in the same fashion that "Norm" was welcomed at "Cheers!"...sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name...
